Skiing
Today I went to skiing class. I think I improved a lot throughout the course of the last two weeks - even though they were icy.
One thing I learned was flexing and extending my legs to let me carve into the snow. I think I pretty much mastered it now, going up and down on turns. Carving has been a great help because it allows skis to dig into the snow instead of falling down the slope. This helps especially when it is icy, as I don't fall that easily.
I also learned to throw my hips out before the turn to allow me to carve into the snow even more. This makes my turn more stable, and I don't fall down that much. I can also travel at much faster speeds without falling, especially if I only use an edge of one ski at a time.
In conclusion, I learned a lot over the last two weeks from skiing class!
