Math Olympiad
Today I went to the math olympiad.
In the morning we did the long problem. The long problem was very hard. It was very hard. It was about estimating the amount of skin on a hand. We only got a top and side view of the hand (to scale). It was hard because you had to take into account gaps on the side of fingers, the fact that fingers are round, and that the hands were irregular shapes.
In the second part of the morning we did the short problems. These were pretty easy. I did all of them, and there were five or six sections with five problems in each section. The problems were easier than the ones in the long problem.
In conclusion, we did well, with a ribbon for the long problem and a medal for the short ones.
