Kung Fu Class #2
Yesterday I had another Kung Fu class. This class was very different from the last.
At the start, we started off with the normal warm-ups, running across the room and then doing rolls. After practicing our moves, he told us to sit down and stretch. This was surprising because we had never done this before. I thought: "This is easy!" as I did the first stretch. It was the horse stance.
Suddenly, he surprised us by saying: "Now, go down as low as you can and hold it for 10 seconds!" After that, he did it for every stretch. Some of the stretches, like the splits, really hurt, but he held us down for the full 10 seconds. At the end of it, all my muscles felt like they were really sore, but I felt really good too.
I think I need to practice these stretches at home to get better at them.
