China Cultural Exploration Competition

Last Sunday I had a competition at the Chief Sealth High School in Seattle. The competition was a 'cultural exploration' of China and so it had activities like Chinese Chess, poetry recitals, etc. I participated in two different events, Chinese Chess and Group Singing. In Chinese chess, I got 3rd place out of 17. I think I did pretty well. I lost the semifinal match on time because I had to go to Group Singing. I think that if I really tried and had my full 10 minutes, I would win and possibly get 1st or 2nd. I am still happy with 3rd though, because all the awards only earned $50, and 2nd and 3rd both got honorable mentions and not normal placement awards. In Group Singing, our team got 2nd out of 5. My guitar was horribly out of tune, and I heard it during the performance. I thought it was really pathetic, but there wasn't much I could do about it. I thought we sang really well though, and we earned $100 for our efforts. I had a good time this Sunday and I earned quite
