陈友谅很生气，因为朱元璋把他的军队杀得很惨。他决定要收拾朱元璋，攻打洪都。朱元璋的弟弟朱文正来防守洪都。朱文正安排好五个大将来访城里的八个门，然后自己带着两千人来帮要帮忙的人。陈友谅首先攻击了抚州门。陈友谅一开始攻击，大石头和木头就像雨一样砸在士兵们的身上。陈友谅很失望。过了几天的战斗，陈友谅的士兵们在墙里挖出了一个很大的洞。但管这个门的大将却没害怕，他的士兵们拿出火枪来。陈友谅的兵害怕的退了。

当太平失守的消息传到朱元璋后，朱元璋叫他的谋士们来跟他商量对策，但感觉他们都已经准备好了逃跑的东西，因为他们都觉得朱元璋没戏了。此时，刘基发言，说大家都太胆怯了，把陈友谅引到一个地方，然后用伏兵把他灭掉，不是很容易吗？朱元璋决定在龙湾决战。陈友谅听说他的弟弟陈友仁到达了龙湾，所以自己也去帮忙。但是，朱元璋在远处的狮子山上看着他们呢。忽然，边上的伏兵都冲出来了，吧陈友谅的军队杀得落花流水。陈友谅逃掉了。虽然朱元璋打了胜战，但还是很不轻松，因为他在河的下游。他想喝水的时候，就像：“我在喝陈友谅洗脸和洗脚的水。” 朱元璋决定必须要灭掉陈友谅。陈友谅做了中国的第一个铁皮战船，打了好几个胜战。陈友谅抓住了韩林儿和刘福通。朱元璋去救他们的时候，刘福通死了。

Today I went to a march about justice for Peter Liang. Peter Liang was an Asian NYPD cop. He was assigned to patrol one of the most dangerous parts of New York, and then, he fired his weapon accidentally down a stairwell with no lights in it. The bullet ricocheted and hit Akai Gurley, a 28-year old. He was killed. This was not the first time a cop killed a black male. And yet he is the only cop that is convicted of a crime. Out of the white policeman who shot a black male in broad daylight 12 times, the white policeman who choked a black male to death, and the Asian policeman who shoots accidentally and kills a man with a ricocheting bullet, the Asian is convicted of manslaughter. During the march, there were these African-Americans who came in and started shouting "Black Lives Matter!" and swearing at us through a megaphone. Recently, there was a terrorist attack in San Bernandino. The attacker carried an iPhone 5C. The police picked up the phone after the attack, and tried to unlock it. However, it had a feature activated that erased all the data on the phone after 10 failed password attempts. With this feature, the FBI could not use a brute-force attack on the phone. It asked Apple for help in unlocking the phone. Apple refused to unlock the phone, stating that it could not crack the passcode either. It also stated that this would cause many privacy issues, from hackers figuring out how to hack the iPhone to a totalitarian government. I agree with Apple, because this is not a one-time scenario as the FBI says. If they get a method to unlock the phone, they will be able to unlock any phone, any time. I think Apple should take a stand for the future of our privacy.

India has recently released a bunch of ultra-cheap smartphones. One smartphone, the Cloud FX, is the first phone to use Mozilla's Firefox OS. At 1999 rupees, it is only $33. But don't get too excited. It has 256 MB ram, and a 3.5 inch screen. It also has a tiny camera. Web browsing makes it crash, along with many other things. Reading the news also kills it. It is a very weak smartphone. Before you think $33 is cheap, though, you might want to consider the $4 smartphone. Made by a startup company, it looks like an Android and has a 4 inch screen. The phones given to journalists to try looked as if the branding from another manufacturer had been covered up with white-out on the phone’s front. Indian flag stickers covered the rear. The phones used an Android operating system. Obviously, everyone wants to buy a 'great and cheap' phone from India!

Recently I read an article about software that can detect emotions in the faces of CEOs to predict how well their company will do in the future. James Cicon built software that analyzed video of the faces of Fortune 500 executives for signs of emotions like fear, anger, disgust, and surprise. He scanned hundreds of videos from quarterly reports. The emotions, he found, correlated with profit margins, returns on assets, stock price moves, and other measures of performance at the associated companies. What surprised me the most about this was that even negative emotions like fear had positive effects on the stock and performance of the company. Dr. Cicon pointed to psychological research from other people: "Fear is widely recognized as a powerful motivator. Thus it is not surprising to find that a CEO who appears fearful under interrogation is perceived by the market as a CEO who will work harder to increase firm value.” So fear from CEOs actually makes their companies do

陈友谅杀掉倪文俊后，成为了最高的官。陈友谅恨徐寿辉，因为他觉得徐寿辉很傻，不应该在他上面。所以陈友谅就把他除掉了，徐寿辉最后恳求陈友谅不要杀他，但陈友谅还是杀了他。陈友谅自称皇帝，去打朱元璋了。朱元璋在暴雨里，不停地打仗，这里大胜，那里大胜，打了差不多一百个战争。他很头疼，因为张士诚老来骚扰他的军队。本来军队就很小，然后还下雨，然后还被张士诚骚扰，实在是忍受不了。1357年，张士诚被朱元璋打得落花流水。这时，朱元璋得到了一个勇将，名字叫常遇春。
