My Opinion On The Article "Why Tough Teachers Get Good Results"

I have recently read WSJ's article "Why Tough Teachers Get Good Results". I have a few thoughts on this article.
First of all, I think that creativity cannot be "learned", as the article says it can. Creativity is the ability to think of something unique. For example, if you were asked to draw something, drawing something that was your own idea is an example of creativity. The article, however, stated that you could learn how to think of unique things and solutions to problems. This is not possible in my opinion. You cannot think of unique things if you have no creativity. You would just be using somebody else's ideas at that point. Creativity is not rewriting someone else's essay, it is coming up with your own unique idea and writing your own essay.
My other thought, though, is that I agree that a little pain is good for you. Without pain, you would think everything was perfect, and would be very surprised when you first felt pain inflicted. You wouldn't be used to it, and wouldn't know what to do about it. If you have felt pain, though, you actually know how to react to it instead of being confused.
In conclusion, I think that there were some good points in the article, but also some incorrect points.
