Interview #1

One of the best pieces of advice I have acquired is that you should treat others like you would expect them to treat you. You should put yourself in others' shoes, and think about your actions.
For example, if you want to hit someone based on something they said or something they did, you should think about it first. You need to think how you would feel if you were hit by them. You would probably feel shocked and angry, and so they would probably also feel dismayed if you hit them. Therefore, you should not hit them because you know that they would feel really offended. A possible solution to the above conflict is asking the other person to not bring up that topic or do that thing anymore. When there's a conflict, immediately hitting someone or saying rude things never solves the problem. What does solve the problem is convincing others, or getting them to see from your point of view, so the you and the other person can understand each other.
Another example is if you discriminate people based on their disabilities. You should think about your actions. You would probably want to be treated well if you were them, and you would feel very embarrassed and lonely if you were teased and ridiculed. As you know they feel separated and shamed because you tease and mock them, you should not discriminate them. You should treat them well, as you would treat your friends. As countless people have declared over the decades, "All men are created equal." If somebody has a disability, it doesn't mean that they're bad at everything. It just means that they have a problem that hinders their progress in certain aspects. In fact, you should try to help them with the things that their disability hinders. They are just normal people with a small problem, that's all.
This rule has led me to do the right thing in countless situations. In conclusion, one of the best pieces of advice I have ever received is to treat others like you would want them to treat you if you were them.
