自日:“学而不思则罔,思而不学则殆。”
This means that you can't just read the book - you need hands-on experience to actually make things work. For example, if a person who doesn't know what a horse or a toad looks like but knows what it is supposed to look like from reading a book, he won't be able to find a horse, and might even find a toad that happens to fit the description of a horse.
