Field Day

Today was field day at school. I thought field day was really lame this year. Last year, there were more stations and the stations were more interesting. But now, the stations are very boring and the fifth graders or parents managing them are usually annoying and autocratic.
One example was the station where we ran bases. The bunch of girls managing the station was very annoying. Every so often, even though the line stretched the whole width of the sand field, they would go off and talk to people at another station or get popsicles!!! Another very annoying thing was that they limited how many people ran at a time because they wanted to time them. The weird thing was that they didn't do anything with the times - they didn't record them and they didn't tell you what the time was. So why would they record the time? When I asked them, they pointed to a dusty packet lying under a chair leg and screamed: "READ THE RULES!!!" It didn't seem like they read the rules very well. They didn't even have an adult there.
Another example was the popcorn station. When I told them I was there to get the blackout prize, because I had completed everything, they put on a baby voice and proceeded to MOCK me. They said things like "Oh, I'm sorry, I just gave away the last one." or "Oh, sorry, dearie, I just ate the last one!" and they had actions to go with them!!! In the end, I walked away mad, and as I walked away, I caught these words they were whispering to each other: "...stupid...him...can't he see that we ran out...wow..." Anyone who has a brain can string those words together and guess what it means. And they started laughing like crazy. They probably didn't notice I was only five feet away from the table.
The final example was the cheaters. They ran around to every station and told the hole-puncher that they had did it already. They received hole punches and they completed everything in around five minutes. Then they ran to the prizes table and took all of the things that they earned, including the 34-inch licorice vines, which were for people with blackouts. So when I got there, they had given most of their 30 vines to the cheaters. Some people, like Aayush, actually did the stations. But others, like Bradley, skipped stations. Bradley said he did the stations again after he got the prize. But is that really the same? If he, who got there at 2:54, hadn't cheated, I would have got one! Because I was right at 2:55! And the adults at the stands and stations were looking at their phones most of the time, and they didn't even pay attention, hole-punching anyone who asked's card and giving prizes to people who finished 26 stations in 20 minutes (hint: NOT POSSIBLE!).
In conclusion, Field Day this year was really boring, unfair, and *stupid.
*f***ing
